How It Works

Invoice is the amount that the car dealership pays the manufacturer for the vehicle, but the manufacturer also pays the dealership additional amounts (holdback), expense credits, and, based on sales volume, bonus money. Additionally, the dealership profits from the sale of optional finance and insurance products and has the opportunity to resell your trade vehicle at a profit. Finally, we believe that if you are a satisfied customer, you will come back for your vehicle service and future purchases.

It is possible that similar vehicles are listed online for sale at a lower price. For fairness and simplicity purposes we offer the majority of our new vehicles starting at the Manufacturer’s Invoice price because this is the price that we pay the manufacturer for the car. Vehicle prices are set by the market and supply and demand. Vehicles in high demand may be sold for more than MSRP, while vehicles in low demand may be sold at a discount.

But remember that CC Network price that you see is always the final price without any hidden fees or “dealer adds,” and every car new or used purchased at any Clay Cooley dealership comes with the Clay Cooley Family Guarantee at no charge.

Certain models are so rare that we do not offer them at invoice to start because they could immediately be resold for a large profit. This includes specialty or limited-edition vehicles (for example Chevrolet Corvettes or Cadillac Escalades). The vast majority of our new vehicles do start at Manufacturer’s Invoice pricing on the CC Network website.

Used cars are priced to the market, and we always advertise our best price. There is therefore no additional discount available to offer on used cars on the CC Network website.

School districts, nonprofits, credit unions, and governments are all able to join the CC Network. Other employers may be able to join but require some verification. Interested employers can reach out to chase@comeseeclay.com to get more information.
